Electives
In addition to completion of coursework in the core and concentration areas, students will have an opportunity to complete six credits of graduate level elective coursework, selected in consultation with the program adviser and committee, as appropriate to the student’s career goals and interests. All Ph.D. students in Adult, Professional, Community Education and Educational & Community Leadership programs must take at least six hours of doctoral level elective courses at the 7000 level. For a current list of available electives, see the Graduate Catalog and current class schedule as posted on CatsWeb.
The research component of the program includes initial coursework in both quantitative and qualitative research with advanced coursework in one of these areas depending on the type of dissertation research intended.
